5 Powerful Scriptures that will give you strength!

There is Power in God's Word!

When we go through difficult times in our lives it is very hard to remain strong, keep your Faith, and trust that the Lord will help you overcome. Especially if your storm has been going on for months and months and there seems to be no end in sight. It can be discouraging and depleting and if you don’t have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, those trials and tribulations will take you out. Lean on the Lord and cling on to His Word because that is where the endurance lies. I have listed some scriptures that will help you remain resilient during those struggles that are all so real!

Romans 8:31-32-“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”

In those moments of adversity and hardship, it can feel like you are all alone. The battles that we have to endure can bring us to our knees crying out for help! This scripture is giving us the assurance that no matter what we face in life God is always greater and there is nothing too hard for him regardless of what it may look like!

2 Timothy 1:7– “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

There is no getting around it; you are going to go through misfortune and struggles that can be difficult to overcome. This scripture is letting us know that those overwhelming feelings of fear that we have because of our circumstances are not emotions that the Lord wants us to embrace.  That is why it is so important to stay in the Word of God so that when the tribulations come, you will have the scriptures in your heart to help you triumph over every adversity.

Joshua 1:9– “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

The Lord’s promise to us is that He will never leave us nor forsake us; He will be with us during and after every single storm that you will ever go through. This scripture encourages us to stay resilient and fearless during our storms knowing that we are not facing them alone! It may not seem like it at the time because of how devastating and painful some of the situations can be. Trust and believe He is not just beside you, but He will go through the fire with you, Daniel 3:25.

Psalm 23– “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.”

When you are at your absolute lowest point and it seems like you couldn’t possibly get any lower, lean on this scripture to give you the tenacity that you will need to move forward. The key is to let it saturate in your heart so that when you go through trials and tribulations you will have this scripture already embedded in your spirit. Breaking down this passage we can see that the Lord is not denying that we will go through difficulties but what He is guaranteeing is that He will be with us giving us all the Power that we need to triumph over any challenging circumstance.

Ephesians 6:10-“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”

Strength is one of those things that can seem nonexistent when you are really going through something that is threatening to cripple your very existence. It can feel like you are in a bottomless pit and there is no way out, no hope, and no relief. This scripture is letting us know that we are to remain strong in His power and not in our own strength. He is the only one who is able to make a way when there seems to be no way! You have to trust, have Faith, and believe!
