Positive Quote for the Week-Rewrite Your Story
“The pages in your book that have taught you the hardest lessons are the same ones that will give you the strength the rewrite your story!” Erica Willis
Make no mistake about it, we are all going to go through trials and tribulations in our life, nobody is exempt. Your life is your story and the pages in your book will produce some of the hardest lessons. Allow every lesson, every adversity, every test help you gather enough strength to rewrite your story.
The enemy would love for you to let your trials discourage you from walking in your destiny. Instead let them build strength, faith, tenacity, and most importantly patience. The Lord reveals to us in James 1:3 “knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.”
Perseverance is one of the most important qualities you can have when facing difficult circumstances. The fact of the matter is that the Lord is not always going to deliver you from challenging times when you expect Him to. It can take long periods of time and we have to learn how to wait on the Lord’s timing with patience.
The hardships that we have had to endure are the ones that have shaped and molded us into the people that we are today. Use your adversity to give you the courage that it takes to change and redirect your story. It doesn’t have to stay the way that it is, be fearless enough to turn the page and start brand new.
Some Scriptures that you can meditate on during adversity are:
- 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 “We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—“
- Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
- 1 Peter 5:10 “But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.”
- Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
- 2 Chronicles 15:7 “But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!”
- Psalm 34:19 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.”
- Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”
