Positive Quote for the Week-Hidden Pain
“The deepest cries are usually caused by pain so hidden that only the Lord can see.” Erica Willis
Make no mistake about it, the devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy! One of the main ways that he likes to wreak havoc in our lives is by causing pain so deep that it can feel like it will never go away. If you are facing pain that seems like it is entirely consuming you, cry out to the Lord and He will comfort you in your time of need. His promise is to never leave or forsake us!
One of the worst things that we can do is keep pain hidden in the hopes that it will just go away. The enemy will take the agony that you are going through and intensify it. His goal is to keep you isolated so that you will be forced to deal with your pain alone. That is why the Word of God is so important. It is saturated with the Lord’s promises that we can lean on beyond a shadow of a doubt. He is absolute love!
The pain that some of us have had to endure can be so traumatic that all we want to do is bury it so deep that it will never resurface. The promise is that you are never alone in those moments of distress, Hebrews 13:5. Even though it may feel as if He is distant, He is always there reaching out His Hand and all you have to do is grab onto it!
Some Scriptures that you can meditate on pertaining to how God feels about you are:
- Psalm 139:13-14 “For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. - Hebrews 13:18 “Pray for us; for we are confident that we have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honorably.”
- Job 4:6 “Is not your reverence your confidence? And the integrity of your ways your hope?”
- Jude 1:22 “And on some have compassion, making a distinction.”
- 1 Corinthians 1:12 “For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we conducted ourselves in the world in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you.”
- 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
- Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
