Positive Quote for the Week-Make Every Day Count!

“Take advantage of every day that you have! Life is so short; live yours in full surrendered to Jesus Christ!” Erica Willis

The Lord describes how quickly our lives can pass right before our eyes in James 4:14. This verse of Scripture states, “whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”

We see so many people living their lives simply to just exist but there is no fire in their hearts for the Lord. Time is so short and we have been called to touch as many lives as we can with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We cannot afford to be lukewarm Christians but we need to make sure that we are about our Father’s business in full surrender.

The way that you are going to live your life fully surrendered and obedient to the Lord Jesus Christ is by renewing your mind. When you digest the Word of God day and night, you will begin to see a change in the way that you talk, walk, act, and live your life as a Christian.

Every day and every moment of your life counts and what you do with your time will reveal your heart posture. Are you living a life of obedience and repentance or are you living every day with no purpose. The Lord reveals to us in 1 Peter 1:15, “but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct.”

This is the day that God is made and we want to rejoice and be happy in it, but joy comes from your obedience to the Lord’s Biblical law. When you follow God and His righteousness (right standing) all things will be added to you and that included having absolute joy.

Some Scriptures on being of fire for God:

Romans 12:11 “Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.”

Psalm 34:5 “They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed.”

1 John 5:3 “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.”

John 14:15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”

Luke 6:46 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?”
