Positive Quote for the Week: Refrain from Self-Destruction

“There are so many negative voices all around you, the last thing you need is one of those voices to be your own!” Erica Willis
One of the main things that you always want to remember is that you have to love yourself, I mean wholeheartedly and unconditionally. If you are able to do that it will prevent you from wanting to do anything in your life that will promote self-sabotage. When you are insecure about the person that you are; you will begin to doubt your abilities, discredit your talents, and convince yourself that you are not valuable.
So how do we defeat the self-destruction? The way to have victory over your insecurity is by getting into the Word of God and renewing your mind, Romans 12:12. When you begin to renew your way of thinking, you can come against the fiery flames that the enemy is planting to mess with your thought process. His plan is to try to convince you that you aren’t who God says that you are. Once he
does that he will cause you to doubt yourself, create hesitancy, and generate uncertainty. You have to learn how to appreciate what you bring to the table, hold yourself to a high standard, and fully trust that the person that you are is more than enough. Speak words of life and not of death because the fact of the matter is life and death IS in the power of your tongue, Proverbs 18:21.
With that being said make it a mission to ensure that every thought and word that comes to your mind or is spoken remains constructive. Take care of your wants and needs and know that you deserve nothing less than the best, so don’t depreciate your value! You are valued by the Lord more than you will ever know!
Scripture on positive thinking:
Psalm 139:1 “O Lord, You have searched me and known me.”
Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
1 John 5:14 “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”
Psalm 139:13-14 “For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 “And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
