Prayer is communication with your Heavenly Father; it is when you set time aside devoted specifically for Him and Him alone. It is a two way conversation meaning that you don’t want to just come to Jesus asking for things that you need or want but coming to Him seeking His will and guidance so that you are walking in your divine purpose. You most definitely want to express to Him what you desire

Philippians 4:6-7 explains that you want to make your requests made known with prayer and thanksgiving. You are to worry about nothing but instead pray about everything Matthew 6:34.

Make it a point to Pray throughout your day without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Remember, you are conversing with the Lord and you want to interact with Him as much as possible. So, how does prayer tie into spiritual warfare? When we pray, we are activating God’s Power allowing us to be effective against the attacks of the enemy. During those moments when you have those disturbing feelings, are getting physically bombarded, or emotionally taken over, you need to pray against it.

In order for you to disarm the devil you have to have the spiritual awareness that tells you how you need to do so. Ask God to open up your eyes spiritually so that you can see the enemy’s devices and understand how to fight against them using the Armor that the Lord has given to you Ephesians 6:10-20. Within your own might you are powerless, but through the power of the Holy Spirit, you can overcome the strongest and vilest demon you will ever have to face.
