One of the greatest misconceptions that a lot of us believe is that our battle is against flesh and blood: your family member, a co-worker, and friends. That is so far from the truth. The Word of God is unequivocally clear in Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

When we can understand who our true enemy is, we will fight the battle differently. We are fighting a very powerful adversary that wants to steal, kill, and destroy us by any means necessary. The only way that we are going to be able to defeat the enemy that we are facing is by allowing the Lord to teach you how to fight your battle. The worst thing that you can do is allow a root of bitterness to grow in your heart.

Anger, animosity, and unforgiveness are some of the most used devices that the devil likes to use over and over again. What it does is open up the door to the enemy to allow him and his demonic kingdom to wreak havoc in your life. That is why the Lord is adamant about letting him fight your battle for you. He will have your back no matter what!

When dealing with people that disrespect, talk about you behind your back, or slander your name, our first response is to handle it ourselves. The best way to triumph over your enemies is to give the battle to the Only One that can. He will not only handle it for you, but will put it on display for everyone to see!
