Positive Quote for the Week: Trust in the Lord’s Timing

trust in Gods timing

“God’s timing is never our timing, but it is always perfect!” Erica Willis

Trusting in the Lord’s timing can be one of the most difficult things that you will ever have to do. We all want to have the trial and tribulation that we are currently in to go away right now! I know I’ve been there plenty of times asking the Lord to set me free from the afflictions that are tearing my life apart and He doesn’t do it right away.

That doesn’t mean that He won’t it just means that it is all in His timing and we must learn to trust Him. 2 Corinthians 12:9 explains that the Lord’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. What that means is when we endure hardships we must lean on Christ for strength and His promise is that it will supersede our weaknesses making us resilient enough to overcome.

As hard as it may be we have to understand that the Lord’s timing is perfect and only He knows why we are going through what we are going through. There may be some things in you that He is trying to purge out of you and the only way that He can do that is to keep applying pressure to your circumstance.

If I’m being honest I know at times it can seem as if your trial will never end, you will never make it through, or it can even feel like it is going to take you out. Trust and believe every adversity that I have triumphed over has made me stronger, more courageous, and fiercer than before I went through it. God’s timing is never our timing but one thing is for certain, it is always perfect!

Scriptures on trusting God’s timing

Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.”

Psalm 27:14 “Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!”

Habakkuk 2:3 “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1 “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.”

Galatians 6:9 “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
