Positive Quote for the Week-Let the Inner You Shine Through
“God is not interested in outward appearances but He is concerned with the condition of your heart!” Erica Willis
The Lord is really not interested in what we look like on the outside but rather focuses on our heart. We can see this revealed in 1 Samuel 16:7 when it states, “But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
God wants to reiterate the importance of inner beauty. We can step out of the house looking like a million dollars with the perfect outfit, your hair done to perfection, and leave driving in the most expensive car, but what is your heart looking like. When you are fully content with the person that you are, your entire demeanor will reflect it. You will not need flashy things to prove your self-worth.
A person that is walking with the Lord Jesus Christ that knows who they are because they know Whom they belong to will be able to walk into a room and not have to say a word. Their presence will do all the talking for them. This kind of confidence is not arrogance it has to do with completely accepting who you are.
This is possible for anyone regardless of how you view yourself. You have to be willing to saturate your mind and heart with the Lord’s Word and it will begin to resonate in your spirit allowing you to realize your value. God tells us exactly how He feels about His children throughout the entirety of the Bible, the more we read and apply it to our lives the less likely we will be moved by negative outside opinions.
Scriptures pertaining to self-worth

Proverbs 3:26 “For the Lord will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught.”
Hebrews 10:35 “Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.”
