Positive Quote for the Week-You are God’s Masterpiece
“Never underestimate the amazing gem that you are, God created you to be unique and rare!” Erica Willis
In Psalm 139 God describes how He knew us before we were even in our mother’s womb. It was written by King David recounting his intimate relationship with the Lord. A relationship that ran so deep that he states, “O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.” David describes God already knowing him. The fact is that this is the same kind of relationship that the Lord wants every one of His children to have with Him.
We are his workmanship (Ephesians 2:11); He spent time and love constructing us to be exactly as we are with no alterations. How could we then not accept the person that God destined for us to be? The enemy loves to infiltrate our minds with insecurity, doubt, confusion, fear, and low self-esteem because what that does is prevents us from walking in God’s Purpose for our lives.
That is why I love Psalm 139 so much because it displays the Lord’s genuine and beautiful love that He has for us. He knew every mistake, every vile sin that we would commit, and every way that we would mess up yet He still chose to create us. He knows all things about you: your mannerisms, the way that you think, the way that you see things, the way that you learn, what you like, what you don’t like, and everything in between. He absolutely adores every single one of us!
That is why it is so important that you learn to accept every imperfection, every flaw, and every beautiful blemish that makes you the rare gem that you are. You want to embrace every quality that God created you with because when you do, your life will be so much happier and that joy will spread to everyone around you!
