Positive Quote for the Week-Are You Prepared for the Test?

James 1:2-3 “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.”

One thing that we know beyond a shadow of a doubt whether you are a believer or a non-believer is that you are going to face trials and tribulations. The Lord is very clear that the rain is going to fall on the just and the unjust. How you handle the tests that you face will reveal the level of your faith.

We live in a world where people want things done when they want it done and how they want it done. The problem is that the Lord does not work that way. Your test is put there to produce patience. Are you willing to wait on the Lord’s timing? Are you willing to trust Him when He is silent? Are you going to lean on the Lord’s understanding instead of your own?

It is so easy to praise and worship God when everything in your life is going well, but what about when your life is in complete disarray? The enemy loves to afflict us when we’re already down. He’ll throw storm after storm after storm in the hopes that your faith will become compromised. He knows that if he can get you to question your faith in the Lord, he has you right where he wants you.

The devil is a liar and the father of lies. It is in these vulnerable moments that your faith should grow that much more. Count it all as joy because you know that in that instant, your test is producing the necessary patience needed to not only get you through current hardships but also the future ones to come.

What are you going to do when the adversities of life threaten to take you out? Are you going to quit, or are you going to pick up your gloves, stand up, and fight? The choice will always be yours!
