Positive Quote for the Week-The Lord will fight your battle for you
“When you allow the Lord to fight your battles for you, He will show up and show out!” Erica Willis
The Lord is making it known about how He feels about you taking matters into your own hands. This is one of the most difficult things for Christians to adhere to because we want to retaliate, strike back, and react. That is not how God wants us to handle these kinds of circumstances. The reason why He is so adamant about you giving your battles over to Him instead of dealing with the issue yourself is because of the repercussions.
When you have those negative emotions built up inside of you, your anger and vengeance against someone that has done you wrong can easily develop into strong holds in your life. The enemy will use that crack in the door to push his way all the way in. He will keep reminding you of what was done to you so that you can develop unforgiveness leading to animosity, bitterness, and hate.
Those emotions are what he will use to give him legal access to create chaos. When we can relinquish our control of the situation over to the Lord He has the ability to repay the person that wronged you in a way that you never could. Deuteronomy 28:7 states, “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.”
God will fight your battles for you and make sure that every enemy that comes after you will know that the Lord is on your side. He states in this verse of scripture that your enemies will be defeated before you face, meaning that you will see what the repercussions for that person will be if you trust the Lord enough to handle the battle for you.
Scriptures about the Lord fighting your battles:
Exodus 14:14 “The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
Deuteronomy 3:22 “You must not fear them, for the Lord your God Himself fights for you.”
Psalm 34:17 “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.”
Romans 8:37 “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
James 4:7 “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
