Positive Quote for the Week-Accept Your Imperfections

“Accept every flaw and every imperfection! You were thought out and perfectly created in His image, you are His masterpiece!” Erica Willis

A lot of times we underestimate our value. For some reason we find it difficult to see ourselves the way God sees us. The fact of the matter is that every single one of us has flaws that we wish we could change. Nobody is perfect but we were created by a perfect God that took the time to shape and mold us exactly as He wanted us to be. You have unique characteristics that only you have and as you learn to walk in your purpose you will begin to embrace those individualities.

One of the ways that the enemy loves to prevent you from progressing in the Kingdom of God is he makes you think that you aren’t qualified. The devil is a liar and the father of lies. That is one of his most used tactics against believers of Jesus Christ. If you feel like you are not adequate to walk boldly for Christ, you will allow that to keep you stationary.

The thing is the Lord is not looking for the qualified; He is looking for the willing. Are you willing to let God use you the way that He wants to with no stipulations? This definitely requires you getting out of your comfort zone, especially if you are battling with self-assurance. The Holy Spirit will give you the confidence that you need to press forward fearlessly, but you have to allow Him to.

I know all too well what it feels like to get uncomfortable as you walk in your gift. I struggled to speak in front of people because the anxiousness would consume me. As I began to allow the Holy Spirit to take over and help me compose myself, I was able to do what the Lord had called me to do, share my testimony. He never left my side and He will do the same for you!

You will begin to walk your walk with confidence because you will know Whom you belong to! It is a powerful thing when you can learn to truly accept yourself wholeheartedly, every flaw and every imperfection. Know that you were perfectly designed, well thought out, and deliberately created with Purpose, His masterpiece!

Some Scriptures that you can meditate on pertaining to how God feels about you are:

  • Psalm 139:13-14 “For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
  • Hebrews 13:18 “Pray for us; for we are confident that we have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honorably.”
  • Job 4:6 “Is not your reverence your confidence? And the integrity of your ways your hope?”
  • Jude 1:22 “And on some have compassion, making a distinction.”
  • 1 Corinthians 1:12 “For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we conducted ourselves in the world in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you.”
  • 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
  • Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
