One thing that you can count on beyond a shadow of a doubt is that you are going to have people that will hate on your for absolutely no reason. You will get underestimated, overlooked, and often times not taken seriously. A lot of times what happens is the people that dislike you cannot stand you because your light is shining way too bright!

They see how the Lord is blessing you: they see the promotion, they see the amazing family that you have, and they see the favor that is on your life. What they can’t see are the trials and tribulations that you had to endure to get you to where you are now. By the grace of God, we never look like what we’ve been through!

People never see the purification process: the pruning, the refining, and the polishing. When people come at you sideways for no reason and try to minimize your worth, just let them. Your silence shows your level of spiritual maturity. You don’t have time to allow any negativity into your space because all that will do is allow the enemy to have a foothold in your life.

Let the Lord’s favor do the talking for you. The Word of God tells us in Psalm 23:5 “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies…” He will allow the naysayers to see you get the promotion and elevate higher and higher in your position. It will be done in their presence so that there will be no doubt Whom you belong to.

The bottom line is every single one of us will deal with being devalued at some point in our lives. People are always going to have opinions no matter what. Use their misconception of who they think you are to show them what you are really capable of! Know your worth, don’t hold back: a hidden gem is polished, refined, and destined to shine!
