One of the most important decisions that you will ever make is choosing the person that you will spend the rest of your life with. It is literally a make or break situation. Marrying the wrong person can lead you down a path away from your destiny, hinder your walk with the Lord, and make your life unbearable.

Unfortunately a lot of people only look at the outward appearance when trying to find a life partner. They completely disregard who that person truly is on the inside. They don’t want to dig deeper than just the surface level because they are infatuated by how attractive the person is, what kind of car they are driving, what clothes they have on, etc.

This is where a person can really get themselves caught up in a full blown relationship with the wrong person. You want to examine if this is the type of person that you can confide in, lean on, and trust even with your darkest secrets? Trust is so significant because it is one of the foundations of a solid relationship.

Another mistake that most people make is going into a relationship with baggage from the previous one, broken, and not completely whole. Then they pour all of that mess onto the person that they decide to get into the next relationship with. That really isn’t fair to that other person. How can you truly love someone if you don’t even love yourself?

Having a genuine relationship with the Lord will help you understand what it means to be made whole spirit, soul, and body, 1 Thessalonians 5:23. Once you’ve established that genuine intimacy with Jesus Christ you will have a clear understanding of who you are and what you’re worth. Finding the King of Kings is critical because He is the One that will send you that king or queen that is worthy of your affection.

He will send you that perfect puzzle piece that will enhance your life and not take away from it. He or she will have your back, you will be able to confide in them, lean on them, and trust them without having to question it. You will be able to take off your mask and be vulnerable.
