Positive Quote for the Week-Make Every Moment Count!
“Take advantage of every moment that you have! Don’t just set goals for yourself, but achieve them!” Erica Willis
The Lord describes how quickly our lives can pass right before our eyes in James 4:14. This verse of Scripture states, “whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”
We see so many people living their lives simply to just exist but there is no drive, ambition, or goals that they are striving to achieve. They work, go home, pay bills, and then repeat. They become so overwhelmed with the stresses of life that they don’t have any time for themselves. This makes it extremely difficult to live the abundant life that the Lord intended for us to have.
The fact of the matter is that every single one of us has gifts and talents that the Lord has given us to fulfill His Purpose. As long as you have breath in your body there is so much life that you have left to fulfill. Set goals for yourself and make sure to achieve those goals.
The devil loves to make us feel less than, insufficient, not worthy because of this or that…the devil is a liar! No matter where you are in your life right now, there is so much more that you can do and so much more life to live. Our time on this Earth is so limited and as the Lord describes it, it is like a mist or vapor that passes right by.
Make every moment count: don’t live in bitterness, unforgiveness, resentment, anger, wrath, or any other negative mindset. Life really is too short for that, let all the negativity go. Make a difference in someone’s life: spread the love of the Lord, make disciples for Jesus Christ, and leave a legacy behind that others will look at and be like “wow, they did all of that!”
Some Scriptures on Goal Setting are:
- 1 Chronicles 15:7 “But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!”
- Psalm 20:4 “May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, And fulfill all your purpose.”
- Proverbs 21:5 “The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.”
- John 6:27 “Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”
- Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
- Proverbs 16:3 “Commit your works to the Lord, And your thoughts will be established.”
