Positive Quote for the Week-Keep it 100% at all Times
“Keep it 100% at all times; don’t live your life camouflaged behind a person’s thoughts of who you are!” Erica Willis
A lot of times we let what other people think about us stop us from walking in the purpose that God has for our lives. People see you on fire for the Lord and they want to extinguish your flame by any means necessary. Use your undercover hatas’ as your motivators.
When they give you push back from being your authentic self, shine even brighter! I remember when I first got saved and was completely radical for Christ and I mean to an extreme. Some of the people that I used to associate myself with would say things like “it doesn’t take all that” or “do you have to talk about Jesus all the time?”
The thing is they didn’t have a clue of what the Lord had brought me through. Had it not been for the Lord rescuing me from the demonic hole that I was in, I don’t know if I would have made it out alive to share my testimony today! That is why it is critical that we keep it 100% and don’t sugar coat the person that Christ has called you to be.
There are so many people out there that don’t walk in their gifts and callings because they are scared of what other people might say about them. We have to remember that the Lord calls us out to be set aside for Him, John 15:19. We are His vessels here on earth: His mouthpiece to proclaim His Name, His hands to heal the sick, His eyes to be watchmen on the wall, and His ears to hear what He is saying.
When you begin to adjust who you are depending on the crowd that is around you, there is a problem. Be you all day and every day. Unapologetically, boldly, and with the understanding that you are a daughter or son of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords!
Scriptures on loving yourself:
- Ephesians 5:29 “For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.”
- 1 John 3:1 “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.”
- Colossian 3:14 “But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.”
- Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
- John 15:9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.”
- Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
- Psalms 139:14 “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.”
