When you can get into your prayer closet, just you and the Lord it is a Powerful thing! What is even more powerful than that is when you can pray and intercede for the people that want nothing more than to see you fail. Showing love above hate is radiating the heart of God, He is absolute love, 1 John 4:8.

Your authentic prayers matter to God! You want to intercede for your spouse, children, family, friends, and your enemies. They are never going to know that you are interceding for them, but they can feel the effects of it. You never want to stop praying for your lost loved ones. God can touch them wherever they are at regardless of how far they have strayed away.

Silent love is when you don’t always feel the need to announce to others that you are keeping them in your prayers. It’s you interceding when nobody else knows about your tear filled prayers except you and the Lord.

The Word of God makes it clear in Matthew 6:5-6, “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”

The Lord wants our authentic, genuine, and love filled prayers that stem from your prayer closet praying to your heavenly Father. This is what the Lord is calling the secret place. There is no better release than when you can get real with the Lord and pour out your heart in prayer, praise, and worship. I know for me when I get alone with my Father, I am able to be completely transparent and vulnerable which is exactly where He wants us to be. Intimacy with God is birthed in your secret place.

The takeaway from this particular quote is having the ability to understand that your private prayers are extremely powerful! Often times, your loved ones have no idea that you are interceding on their behalf when they cannot pray for themselves. It’s that silent love that is so special because it is between you and the Lord. He is Love!
