Positive Quote for the Week-Be Still

“Even with the hustles and bustles of life we have to learn how to be still!” Erica Willis

With everything going on in the world right now it is so easy to get sidetracked from your Purpose. You get stretched in so many different directions: your children need you, your spouse needs you, you’re needed at the church, and so on. You can literally become completely engulfed by the cares of life. Don’t allow yourself to be so overwhelmed that you forget about the purpose that God has for you.

The enemy’s job is to keep you distracted and he will do exactly that if you let him. God is very clear on the way that He wants us to structure our lives as believers of Jesus Christ. Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” When you put the Lord first, He will make sure that you have everything that you need.

Often times all we need to do in moments of chaos is to just “be still.” Psalm 46:10 gives us some vital information when it states, “Be still, and know that I am God…” So when the cares of life begin to consume you…be still, when the enemy comes in life a flood…be still, when tribulation hits…be still. God is letting us know that we can find comfort in His rest knowing that He has the world and your life right in the palm of His hand!

Scriptures on remaining still

Exodus 14:14 “The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

Psalm 62:1 “Truly my soul silently waits for God; from Him comes my salvation.”

Philippians 4:6-7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

Isaiah 30:15 “For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength. ”But you would not.”
