It is truly heartbreaking how a lot of Christians underestimate the power of God’s Word. So, they will just deal with their physical struggles and physical sickness and say things like: “God must be teaching me a lesson,” and “it’s just the cross that I have to bear.” The devil is a liar! The blood of Jesus that was shed on the Cross at Calvary paid for our entire sin debt affording us the free gift of Salvation.

The Blessings that come with that amazing gift are: good health, healing, deliverance, protection, and provision amongst many other things. John 10:10 reveals, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Jesus Christ died for us to have the opportunity to have an abundant life here on Earth. His will for our lives is not to be laid up in bed riddled with sickness and disease.

He has given us all the tools that we need to fight illness, infirmity, disease, and every single thing that will ever come against us. The problem is that a lot of believers don’t read their Bible to learn of God’s promises. His Word has to be so embedded in your heart that every single time that the devil tries to shoot fiery arrows at your mind your response is “it is written!”

There is a powerful passage of Scripture specifically tailored to counterattack any struggle that you will ever encounter. That is why we need to make it a point to meditate on the Lord’s Word consistently. Joshua 1:8 details, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”

2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

Matthew 4:4 “But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
